8-Year-Old Boy Marries 61-Year-Old Woman to Please Dead Grandpa
An eight-year-old boy married a 61-year-old woman in South Africa

You've likely felt some pressure from your family members to do some things you didn't necessarily want to do. In your case, though, your relative probably wasn't already deceased, and they surely weren't trying to convince you to marry someone nearly eight times your own age. This is exactly the case of 8-year-old Sanele Masilela, whose dead grandfather reportedly wished for him to marry 61-year-old married mother-of-five Helen Shabangu.

Both are from the town of Tshwane, South Africa, and they agreed to the ceremony out of fear of divine retribution. Sanele's family paid £500 to the bride as a dowry, and the wedding itself cost £1,000. They were able to plan the ceremony, which they admitted shocked some members of the community, in the span of only two months.

The ceremony was mostly for show, and it wasn't legally binding. Both bride and groom have moved on to their normal lives, and the family is pleased. The boy's mother, Patience Masilela, had a few words for the Daily Mail

"Sanele is named after his grandfather, who has never had a white wedding before he died so asked Sanele to get married. He chose Helen because he loves her. By doing this we made the ancestors happy. If we hadn't done what my son had asked then something bad would have happened in the family. I didn't have a problem with it because I know it's what the ancestors wanted and it would make them happy. Sanele was fine and he was happy about the ceremony and it was what he wanted. He was happy to get married and very excited."

The young bridegroom himself had some things to say to the Mail:

"I told my mother that I wanted to get married because I really did want to. I'm happy that I married Helen — but I will go to school and study hard. When I'm older I will marry a lady my own age"

The bride's existing husband and children said that they had no problem with the ceremony, even with some outcry from the community.

6 reasons why people commit suicide

The one question everyone has asked without exception, that they ache to have answered more than any other, is simply, why? Why did their friend, child, parent, spouse, or sibling take their own life? Even when a note explaining the reasons is found, lingering questions usually remain: yes, they felt enough despair to want to die, but why did they feel that? A person’s suicide often takes the people it leaves behind by surprise (only accentuating survivor’s guilt for failing to see it coming). People who’ve survived suicide attempts have reported wanting not so much to die as to stop living, a strange dichotomy but a valid one nevertheless. If some in-between state existed, some other alternative to death, I suspect many suicidal people would take it. For the sake of all those reading this who might have been left behind by someone’s suicide, I wanted to describe how I was trained to think about the reasons people kill themselves. They’re not as intuitive as most think. In general, people try to kill themselves for six reasons:

1. They’re depressed. This is without question the most common reason people commit suicide. Severe depression is always accompanied by a pervasive sense of suffering as well as the belief that escape from it is hopeless. The pain of existence often becomes too much for severely depressed people to bear. The state of depression warps their thinking, allowing ideas like “Everyone would all be better off without me” to make rational sense. They shouldn’t be blamed for falling prey to such distorted thoughts any more than a heart patient should be blamed for experiencing chest pain: it’s simply the nature of their disease. Because depression, as we all know, is almost always treatable, we should all seek to recognize its presence in our close friends and loved ones. Often people suffer with it silently, planning suicide without anyone ever knowing. Despite making both parties uncomfortable, inquiring directly about suicidal thoughts in my experience almost always yields an honest response. If you suspect someone might be depressed, don’t allow your tendency to deny the possibility of suicidal ideation prevent you from asking about it.

2. They’re psychotic. Malevolent inner voices often command self-destruction for unintelligible reasons. Psychosis is much harder to mask than depression — and arguably even more tragic. The worldwide incidence of schizophrenia is 1% and often strikes otherwise healthy, high-performing individuals, whose lives, though manageable with medication, never fulfill their original promise. Schizophrenics are just as likely to talk freely about the voices commanding them to kill themselves as not, and also, in my experience, give honest answers about thoughts of suicide when asked directly. Psychosis, too, is treatable, and usually must be for a schizophrenic to be able to function at all. Untreated or poorly treated psychosis almost always requires hospital admission to a locked ward until the voices lose their commanding power.

 3. They’re impulsive. Often related to drugs and alcohol, some people become maudlin and impulsively attempt to end their own lives. Once sobered and calmed, these people usually feel emphatically ashamed. The remorse is usually genuine, and whether or not they’ll ever attempt suicide again is unpredictable. They may try it again the very next time they become drunk or high, or never again in their lifetime. Hospital admission is therefore not usually indicated. Substance abuse and the underlying reasons for it are generally a greater concern in these people and should be addressed as aggressively as possible.

 4. They’re crying out for help, and don’t know how else to get it. These people don’t usually want to die but do want to alert those around them that something is seriously wrong. They often don’t believe they will die, frequently choosing methods they don’t think can kill them in order to strike out at someone who’s hurt them—but are sometimes tragically misinformed. The prototypical example of this is a young teenage girl suffering genuine angst because of a relationship, either with a friend, boyfriend, or parent who swallows a bottle of Tylenol—not realizing that in high enough doses Tylenol causes irreversible liver damage. I’ve watched more than one teenager die a horrible death in an ICU days after such an ingestion when remorse has already cured them of their desire to die and their true goal of alerting those close to them of their distress has been achieved.

 5. They have a philosophical desire to die. The decision to commit suicide for some is based on a reasoned decision often motivated by the presence of a painful terminal illness from which little to no hope of reprieve exists. These people aren’t depressed, psychotic, maudlin, or crying out for help. They’re trying to take control of their destiny and alleviate their own suffering, which usually can only be done in death. They often look at their choice to commit suicide as a way to shorten a dying that will happen regardless. In my personal view, if such people are evaluated by a qualified professional who can reliably exclude the other possibilities for why suicide is desired, these people should be allowed to die at their own hands.

 6. They’ve made a mistake. This is a recent, tragic phenomenon in which typically young people flirt with oxygen deprivation for the high it brings and simply go too far. The only defense against this, it seems to me, is education. The wounds suicide leaves in the lives of those left behind by it are often deep and long lasting. The apparent senselessness of suicide often fuels the most significant pain survivors feel. Thinking we all deal better with tragedy when we understand its underpinnings, I’ve offered the preceding paragraphs in hopes that anyone reading this who’s been left behind by a suicide might be able to more easily find a way to move on, to relinquish their guilt and anger, and find closure. Despite the abrupt way you may have been left, those don’t have to be the only two emotions you’re doomed to feel about the one who left you.

Adult Children Of Divorce

When my dad left my mum for another woman, he suggested they didn't inform my two brothers and me. Why? Because we were adults so it wouldn't concern us.
Dad figured that because the three of us were now independent adults, small matters like breaking up our family, airing the dirty laundry, selling the family home and fighting over who kept the baby photos were a private matter between him and mum.
The idea that adult children are not affected by their parents' divorce is not a special brand of crazy reserved for my dad. In fact, when my brother told his friends about our parents' split, they laughed -- such was their lack of concern and understanding.
And, in a way, it was funny. If our parents managed to stay unhappily married for over three decades, why bother to change things now?
The truth is, despite my devastation -- and I really was devastated -- I didn't feel entitled to grieve publicly for my parents' divorce. Unlike when children are young, people don't concern themselves with the emotional, physical and financial toll of divorce on adult offspring. I felt silly being so upset, because it wasn't about me.
At the same time, I kept being drawn into the unfolding drama. Rather than being shielded from much of the conflict, adult children are often conscripted to the frontlines of their parents' war.
The first battle is over loyalty. You must pick a side. Even if you consciously decide not to take sides, your inaction may still be interpreted as a breach of loyalty.
The second battlefront adult children are dragged into is not necessarily as dramatic, but just as putrid: the role of confidante. When people split they need to talk. A lot. The one who leaves needs to justify the decision and the one who is left needs to mull over why they were left and convince themselves -- and everybody else -- that they did not deserve it.
The moment the door closed behind my father, the boundaries of appropriate conversation between parent and child collapsed. Both parents felt compelled to run down the other with intimate details about their relationship, sex life and past transgressions.
There are some things you never want to discuss with your parents.
I expected the role reversal of parent and child to come much later in life, when mum and dad were old or dying. Divorce has a way of accelerating this process.
I spent my time either worrying about dad night clubbing and reliving his youth, or helping mum manage the smallest details, like writing a shopping list or feeding herself.
And while I was sorting out my parents' assets and playing Florence Nightingale to my mother, nobody even realized, let alone acknowledged, that I might be grieving too.
Watching the family home and assets being packed up and fought over shatters your world, no matter how old you are. It was as if my safety net in life had gone. There was no safe refuge, physically or emotionally, that I could run to if I needed it. My parents we so engrossed in their own pain and anger they no longer had any concern for me, other than as a pawn in their own drama.
No matter what age you are, and what you have going on in your life, when your mum tells you "I wasted 32 years of my life," and your dad says, "I should never have married that woman," you can't help but reevaluate your memories of your childhood and question if any of it was real.
With the ever-increasing numbers of gray divorce, more adult children will be forced to wade through the debris of their broken families. And for many, their hurt and loss will be just as intense as if they were a child.

"Gangnam Style" is a K-pop single by the South Korean musician PSY. The song was released in July 2012 as the lead single of his sixth studio album PSY 6 (Six Rules), Part 1, and debuted at number one on South Korea's Gaon Chart. The phrase "Gangnam Style" is a Korean neologism that refers to a lifestyle associated with the Gangnam District of Seoul. The song and its accompanying music video went viral in August 2012 and have influenced popular culture worldwide since then. "Gangnam Style" received mixed to positive reviews, with praise going to its catchy beat and PSY's amusing dance moves (which themselves have become a phenomenon) in the music video and during live performances in various locations around the world. In September 2012, "Gangnam Style" was recognized by Guinness World Records as the most "liked" video on YouTube.[7] It subsequently won Best Video at the MTV Europe Music Awards held later that year. It became a source of parodies and reaction videos by many different individuals, groups and organizations while also inspiring dance mobs in Paris, Rome, and Milan, with tens of thousands of participants each. On New Year's Eve 2012, more than one million people witnessed a live "Gangnam Style" performance in Times Square, New York City, featuring PSY and rapper MC Hammer;as well as in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
By the end of 2012, the song had topped the music charts of more than 30 countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, and the United Kingdom. Although its reception in Japan remained lukewarm, "Gangnam Style" topped China's Baidu 500download list and was labelled by state media as having a "divine melody.

As the song continued to rapidly gain popularity and ubiquity, its signature dance moves were attempted by many notable political leaders such as the British Prime Minister David Cameron, U.S. President Barack Obama, and United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, who hailed it as a "force for world peace"."Gangnam Style" (Korean: 강남스타일, IPA: [kaŋnam sɯtʰail]) is a K-pop single by the South Korean musician PSY. Top Ten Wonders of the World

Ever since ancient times there have been wonders of the world, though not many of those ancient wonders still exist. For instance hardly anything remains of the Colossus of Rhodes, a huge statue which once guarded the entrance of that Greek island. Today the only ancient wonder of the world to still attract millions of visitors annually is Pyramids of Giza. Lists of the world’s wonders are also constantly being revised to include new wonders like Machu Picchu and natural wonders like the Victoria Falls. Here’s an alternative list of the world’s top ten wonders.

1. The Great Barrier Reef
As the only living organism which can be seen from space, the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Queensland, Australia, is the world’s greatest natural wonder. This massive reef system is comprised of nearly 3,000 individual reefs all teeming with coral and amazing marine life. There are also 900 islands which can be visited by boat. The Great Barrier Reef is also therefore the number one attraction for marine biologists as well as snorkelling and scuba diving enthusiasts.

2. The Great Wall of China
Similarly the Great Wall of China is the only manmade structure which can be seen from space. This interconnected series of stone fortifications was built in the north of this vast country to protect the Chinese Empire. Parts of the wall date back as far as 220 BC and altogether the wall is thought to measure five and a half thousand miles long. As you cross China from east to west the wall takes in forests, deserts, mountains and plateaus. More than can be seen in one day trip then.

3. Serengeti Great Migration
This incredible natural wonder sees millions of herbivores such as wildebeest cross the Great Plain as part of their annual migration. It is the largest mass movement of animals in the world. In pursuit of water they cross the Mara River, many of them falling prey to opportunistic predators such as crocodiles. The Great Migration is an absolutely unbelievable sight which attracts thousands of safari goers.

4. The Pyramids of Giza
Despite being increasingly swamped by the massive city of Cairo, the Pyramids of Giza remain well worth seeing. These huge Pyramids still stand majestically in the desert, even if they are close to the nearby KFC restaurant. Visitors should note that the entrance to the Pyramids of Giza is a rather stressful crush and once you are inside all sorts of touts try to take your money. Don’t hand your tickets over to anyone and take the horse and camel tours at your own risk.

5. Easter Island
This Polynesian Island off the west coast of South America has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. That is mainly down to the creepy collection of Moai stone statues, which loom unblinking over the otherwise empty landscape. The statues are thought to date back to 1100–1680 CE and like other attractions such as Stone Henge in England, no one knows exactly how they got there.

6. The Grand Canyon
Craved by the mighty Colorado River, the Grand Canyon is the world’s largest canyon and it is also the site of America’s first national park. Astounding stone structures and eerie desert landscape await the visitor, and a new glass platform has been built which extends out over the canyon edge to give visitors a spine-chilling experience.

7. Kaieteur Falls
There are higher and wider waterfalls in other parts of the world but for sheer volume of water and incredible jungle scenery few can beat the Kaieteur Falls in Guyana. The Potaro River measures 113 metres wide as it plunges over a precipice 226 metres below. The best thing about the Kaieteur National Park is that very few tourists go here so you will likely have the spectacular view more or less to yourself.

8. The Taj Mahal
The jewel of India would be higher on the list, were it not for the depressing poverty that surrounds it. This mausoleum in Agra is incredibly beautiful, yet it has attracted numerous hawkers and scammers who try to part you from whatever cash they can. However there are few more stunning sights than the light being reflected of the white marble dome of the Taj Mahal at sunset.

9. Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza is the most spectacular of the many Mayan temples which can be found in Mexico. It has a distinctive pyramid shape with a long row of steps carved into it. Furthermore ominous decorations such as feathered serpents are hewn into various ledges. Such fine touches make this Pre-Columbian temple on the Yucatan Peninsula one of the most visited tourist attraction in Mexico. If the manmade wonders are not thrilling enough for you here are also two large natural sinkholes nearby in this area of arid desert. Get here early in the day before the sun gets hot.

10. The Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco
Standing like a gateway to the mighty Pacific Ocean beyond, the Golden Gate Bridge is a marvel of architecture and engineering. In nearby Pacific Heights you can get impressive views of the iconic bridge and the Alcatraz prison island within San Francisco Bay.  This steel bridge is 90 feet wide and nearly two miles long and at one time was the longest suspension bridge in the world. Today a team of 38 painters work continuously to touch up the paint, which is classified as Orange Vermillion in colour.

MR.COOL Eminem!

MR.COOL Eminem!!

Marshall Bruce Mathers III was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on October 17 1972 to his mother Debbie Briggs-Mathers and his father Marshall Bruce Mathers II. Debbie was only 15 when Marshall was born. Not long after Marshall was born, his father packed his bags and left the family, never to be seen again. This wasn’t the end of a tough run for Marshall and his family; it was only just the beginning. Marshall got moved around to different houses and because of this he attended many schools. His mom finally settled down in a house in Detroit. Marshall was only 12 years old. The maximum time he spent at the one school was 3 months. He got bullied at every school he attended and later got back at them by dissing them publicly in his songs. Marshall did pretty well in school considering the circumstances until he got to year 9. He failed for the third year in a row and decided that he had had enough. School just wasn’t for him, so he left to work on what he was most passionate about: rapping. He had been lip-synching to hip hop songs ever since he was 4 and if he wasn’t a comic book shop owner he had this dream to be a rapper. He started getting a name for himself when he was 17, even though he got into the rap game when he was 14. He was using the initials from his first and last names to form his rap name “M & M” which later became “Eminem” because of his race, he got rejected by people all the time, even though he was a really talented rapper. Determined to prove everyone wrong, he forced himself to go on radio shows and participate in freestyle battles. In 1995, Marshall recorded his first album titled Infinite, which only sold about 1000 copies. That same year, his high school sweet heart, now wife, Kim, gave birth to his only child, a little girl named Hailie Jade Scott. Having nothing to lose, flat broke and in desperate need for money to support Hailie and Kim, Marsh set out to rave about his life in general where he caught ear of hip hops hard to please underground. Out of this came the Slim Shady Ep named after his alter ego. Em, down to his lest dime, participated in the 1997 Rap Olympics in LA aiming to win the $1,500 cash prize he badly needed. He battled for an hour throwing back every diss he was thrown and managed to get into the grand final. Unfortunately for Em, he lost due to a slip up. Furious that he had lost, Marshall didn’t even notice that he had been spotted by a few producers from interscope records, who got hold of his demo, Infinite. Dre eventually tracked him down, and recorded em’s second album, The Slim Shady EP then followed by The Slim shady LP, recorded in 19. Then in May 2000, Eminem worked with Dre again to record em’s third album, The Marshall Mathers LP. It featured artists such as Dre, Snoop Dogg, X-Zibit, Nate Dogg, D-12 and the beautiful Dido, who sings the chorus for “Stan”. This album debuted at number 1 on the US albums chart, and won three Grammys and was the first rap album to ever be nominated “Album Of The Year”, selling more than 8 million records in America alone. He stunned critics by performing his #1 hit single “Stan” with Elton John, shooting down all homophobic remarks. Marshals’ album sales were skyrocketing but things weren’t going well with his wife Kim. A month after the Marshall Mathers LP was released, Em was involved in a brawl outside a Detroit club, where he allegedly pistol-whipped a man for kissing Kim. In august that same year, Em filed for divorce. In April 2001, Marsh was sentenced to 2 years probation, stemming from the weapons charge. This same year, he reconciled with Kim for his daughter, Hailies’, sake, but it only lasted for a few months, this time it was Kim who filed for divorce, in August. 2002 was a big year for Marshall. He branched out into the world of acting, filming with esteemed director Curtis Hanson. 8 mile was produced. Based on em’s own life, he played lead role of a character very much like himself, Jimmy Smith Jr. Jimmy is nicknamed “Rabbit” by his mother, Stephanie, played by Ems’ wife Kim. While filming 8 mile, he was busy during scenes making up the songs “Lose Yourself” and “8 Mile”. “Lose Yourself” was named the underdog anthem of the year. As well as his first movie 8 Mile, Em released his 4th album, The Eminem Show. He revealed the more mature, slightly subdued side of himself. The Eminem Show fired some of his usual attacks on the likes of lead singer of Limp Bizkit, Fred Durst and Moby as well as fresh attacks on Osama Bin Laden. This one album alone had many hits, including Without Me, Cleanin Out My Closet, Sayin Goodbye to Hollywood, Sing For The Moment, Superman, and Business. He even sings on the album-on a song made especially for his daughter Hailie, the only girl in his life for whom he has respect for.
